Motorcyclist dies after crash with box truck in Orange County, troopers say

Crash happened on Taft Vineland Road and General Drive

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 31-year-old motorcyclist from Orlando was killed in a crash with a box truck in Orange County, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened on Taft Vineland Road and General Drive around 9 a.m. on Monday morning, Oct. 17.

According to troopers, a Ford E-350 box truck being drive by a 59-year-old Orlando man traveling westbound on Taft Vineland Road turned left into the path of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle traveling eastbound on Taft Vineland Road.

This caused the motorcyclist to hit the right side of the truck, troopers said.

FHP said the motorcyclist was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
