Troopers look for Auburndale man involved in fatal hit-and-run crash

POLK COUNTY, Fla. – Troopers are looking for a man they said was driving a stolen van in a fatal Polk County hit-and-run crash involving four vehicles.

According to a crash report, 22-year-old Jesus Bravo-Bravo was driving a stolen Dodge Caravan westbound on State Road 400 near mile marker 53 on March 9 around 9:26 p.m. when he failed to stop for the traffic in front of him.

As a result, Bravo-Bravo slammed into a motorcycle and a sedan, driven by a 28-year-old Kissimmee woman, in front of him, in successive order. Troopers said the sedan was pushed forward and it then crashed into an SUV, driven by a 58-year-old Rockledge man.

According to the FHP, the motorcyclist, a 32-year-old Lakeland man, was killed in the crash.

The driver of the sedan and the man and his two passengers, a 63-year-old woman and 28-year-old man, all from Rockledge, suffered minor injuries.

Troopers said Bravo-Bravo fled the crash scene on foot and is still at large.
