LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men died in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at 1:26 a.m. on County Road 42 near Crows Bluff Road, troopers said.

According to a crash report, a sedan was traveling eastbound on CR-42 with two occupants, a 23-year-old DeLand man driving and a 21-year-old De Leon Springs man as passenger. The sedan traveled across the center line, across the westbound lane and onto the north shoulder for unknown reasons before the front of the vehicle struck a tree, the report states.
The sedan continued northward until hitting another tree, troopers said.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene, according to FHP. Troopers believe neither man was wearing a seat belt.
