MARION COUNTY, Fla. – An Ocala man driving a pickup truck died Monday morning when the vehicle hit a guardrail and building in Marion County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal crash happened around 8:45 a.m. in the area of State Road 35 and Larch Road.

According to an FHP crash report, the 64-year-old man was heading north on S.R. 35, south of Larch Road, when his pickup went off the road and hit a metal guardrail. The pickup continued northeast and hit a building at 8721 SE Baseline Road, the FHP said.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to troopers.
