BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. – A 64-year-old Florida man was killed late Tuesday when his big rig crashed along Interstate 95 in Brevard County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The fatal single-vehicle wreck happened around 11:35 p.m. on I-95 north near mile marker 184, north of Melbourne.
The FHP said the Cutler Bay man was driving a 2007 semitrailer north on I-95 when he veered across the lanes for an unknown reason. An FHP crash report said the driver overcorrected, crossing over all northbound lanes before crashing into the woods.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the crash report.
