The FHP said the Apopka cruiser was northbound in the outside lane of OBT and the OPD patrol car, headed to a call with its emergency lights and sirens activated, was headed east in the right turn lane of Clarcona Ocoee Road.

The OPD car slowed or stopped in the center of the intersection as the Apopka cruiser entered under a green light, according to troopers.

The driver of the Apopka police cruiser swerved left, causing the right front of the car to strike the left front of the OPD car, the FHP said.

Neither driver was injured and both remained at the scene, troopers said.

An investigation is ongoing.
