DELTONA, Fla. – Six people were seriously injured early Monday in a crash in Deltona, according to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office.
Officials said around 2:45 a.m. on Monday, a Toyota sedan was speeding on Elkcam Boulevard near Evard Avenue and went into oncoming traffic. The vehicle struck an Acura head-on.

Around 2:45 a.m. on Elkcam Blvd. at Evard Ave, a red Toyota sedan traveling at high speed on Elkcam appeared to cross into the oncoming lane, striking a white 4-door Acura head-on.

All individuals involved in the wreck, including four 21-year-olds from the Toyota and two from the Acura, a 51-year-old and 36-year-old, were taken to the hospital, the sheriff’s office said.
An investigation is ongoing.
