BAY LAKE, Fla. – A 23-year-old Winter Garden woman died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Tuesday night along a road within the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred shortly before 10 p.m. on Epcot Center Drive, south of Buena Vista Drive, troopers said.
According to an FHP crash report, the woman was driving a 2024 Hyundai Tucson northbound on Epcot Center Drive when the SUV ran off the roadway to the left for unknown reasons.
The Hyundai traveled onto the grass median and continued north until the front left of the vehicle struck a traffic sign support pole, the report states. The woman was wearing a seat belt during the crash, troopers said.
FHP is still investigating.
