Motorcyclist killed in Orange County crash, troopers say

Crash happened at Forest City Road and Riverside Park Road

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 28-year-old Orlando man is dead after a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash happened at Forest City Road and Riverside Park Road around 2:52 p.m.

According to an FHP crash report, a 2012 Buick Verano was traveling northbound on Forest City Road, approaching Riverside Park Road, when its driver made a left turn in the direct path of a motorcycle that the Orlando man was riding southbound on Forest City Road.

The motorcycle struck the right side of the Buick as a result, the report states.

Troopers said the motorcyclist was taken to ORMC, where he was pronounced dead. The two occupants of the Buick — a 68-year-old man driving and a 65-year-old woman riding as a passenger, both of Sanford — were uninjured in the crash and remained on scene, according to FHP.

The crash remains under investigation.
