ORLANDO, Fla. – Dive teams searched Lake Fairview Wednesday morning after a car was found in the water, according to the Orlando Fire Department.
A caller had reported seeing the vehicle around 6:30 a.m., a fire department spokesperson said in a statement. There was no driver found inside the car and it was unknown whether the driver was still on scene after the vehicle entered the water, the statement reads, otherwise suggesting the divers’ search was precautionary.
Divers had begun looking for the driver as Sky 6 flew above, watching as the car was pulled up what appears to be the Lake Fairview boat ramp.
The scene has since been turned over to the Orlando Police Department, according to the spokesperson.
