The driver of the Toyota, a 33-year-old Apopka man, and the deputy were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said their deputy was taken to the hospital to be evaluated as a precaution but “is doing well.”
Sheriff Dennis Lemma issued a statement on the wreck:
On behalf of our agency, I’d like to offer a heartfelt thank you to everyone who has reached out with well wishes and kind words regarding our deputy involved in the rollover accident this morning on 436. Your support means the world to her and all those who work with her.
We’re relieved to share that, fortunately, she is remarkably tough and is expected to be OK. However, this serves as a reminder to us all to be extra cautious on the roadways. Safety should always be a priority for everyone and we need to always reduce distractions.
Thank you once again for your thoughts and support.
