Orlando man killed in crash when car overturns, strikes 2 poles

Crash happened on Dr. Phillips Boulevard near Craindale Drive

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – A 23-year-old Orlando man was killed Tuesday in a crash when his car overturned and struck two utility poles, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 6:20 a.m. on Dr. Phillips Boulevard near Craindale Drive.

According to a crash report, the man was heading north on Dr. Phillips Boulevard in a 2016 BMW 650I when he failed to negotiate a curve and went off the roadway.

The vehicle hit a utility pole, overturned and struck another pole, troopers said.

The man was ejected from the vehicle and taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing.
