SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Traffic was blocked along Interstate 4 on Wednesday afternoon after a crash on the highway left one person dead, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash involved only one vehicle — a 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander — and the driver died at the scene, troopers added.
In a crash report, troopers said the driver had lost control of the car and ran off the left side of the roadway, colliding with a utility pole on the median.
As a result, the impact overturned the vehicle and ejected the driver, who was pronounced dead at the scene, the report shows.
The wreck caused a roadblock in the eastbound lanes, so traffic was diverted onto State Road 46 and State Road 417, the FHP said. As of 6:15 p.m., the roadblock has been cleared.
The crash remains under investigation.
