MELBOURNE, Fla. – A Brightline train crashed into a front-end loader on Friday afternoon in Melbourne, resulting in a trauma alert, according to the police department.
Police said the crash happened at a crossing near East NASA Boulevard and Hickory Street around 4:04 p.m.

According to investigators, a male on the front-end loader was struck by the train, and he was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert following the collision.
However, police explained that the operator’s injuries “are not expected to be life-threatening.”
