CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – A "sailabration" is happening this weekend at Port Canaveral’s Jetty Park to mark the addition of two of the world's ten largest cruise ships.
Port leaders call it an exciting time for business as do guests speaking with News 6 Friday.
Serenity and Jonny Monfreda from Miami said for their next cruise they may choose the Port's latest addition, the Royal Caribbean's 6,300-passenger Oasis of the Seas.
They cruised to the Bahamas this week on Royal Caribbean's Majesty of the Seas, a smaller ship which they enjoyed.
"It's a peaceful time, it's nice,” Serenity told News 6. “Service was great."
The Oasis of the Seas had it's maiden voyage out of Port Canaveral last weekend.
This Sunday, the ship departs again after a free party at Jetty Park.
Entertainment and giveaways will precede the Saturday departure of the Port's second new addition, Norwegian Cruise Line's, Epic.
It all means a very busy weekend for the Port.
More ships mean more options for travelers.
"We're actually talking about next cruise bringing the kids along,” Gabriel Montelongo said about a cruise on the Oasis of the Seas. “So I think that will be a great cruise [to] bring them along."
