"A strong ridge of high pressure over the Atlantic will dominate our weather pattern for a few more days," News 6 meteorologist Candace Campos said. "Under this setup, expect more of the same weather that we had over the weekend and Monday."

Highs will hover above average, in the upper 70s, along the coast and the low 80s for interior neighborhoods.

Overnight lows will mostly be in the upper 50s.

"Although we are expecting mostly dry conditions around the area, we can't rule out a few isolated sprinkles during the afternoon," she said. "We will maintain a consistent weather pattern for the rest of the workweek, with highs in the low 80s and limited rain chances."

A cold front is developing over the desert southwest, and it will likely be the culprit for some changes in the future Central Florida forecast.

"Long-range models show the cold front moving into the area by Sunday night and into Monday morning," Campos said.

Rain chances ahead of the arrival of the front will begin to increase, between 30-40 percent, with a mention of an isolated thunderstorm.

"Once the front clears, highs should start to trend down back to normal -- the upper 60s to low 70s," she said.
