ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is off to its coldest start since early April, with most areas 10-20 degrees below normal.
Early Thursday, lows ranged from 37 degrees in Ocala (matching the temperature in Minneapolis) to 62 degrees in Cocoa Beach. Orlando dipped to 55 degrees.

With the help of dominant sunshine, highs will return to the mid-70s later Thursday afternoon. Average high temperatures for late October in Orlando are in the mid-80s.
Window-opening weather continues Friday, with highs climbing into the upper 70s.
More seasonable weather returns for the weekend, with highs topping out in the low to mid 80s.
Rain chances will be nonexistent through the weekend, with slight rain chances returning next week.

There is nothing brewing in the tropics, but there is a slight chance for some development off the southeast coast of the U.S. over the weekend. This would not impact Florida if development occurs.
Hurricane season runs until Dec. 1.
