How low will it go? What you need to know about coolest air in months settling into Central Florida

Highs top out in the low to mid-70s in Orlando area

ORLANDO, Fla. – Window-opening weather has arrived!

Behind Sunday’s cold front, highs in Central Florida will top out in the low to mid-70s Monday afternoon.

Expect a mix of sun and clouds, with a breeze at times, through Monday evening.

Under clearing skies, temperatures will fall into the 40s and 50s across most of Central Florida by Tuesday morning. Central Florida typically doesn’t see these temperatures until early November.

Under mostly sunny skies Tuesday afternoon, highs return to the low to mid-70s.

The workweek ahead will be mainly dry and refreshing.

High temperatures will gradually warm into the 80s by the latter part of the week.

The next best shot for rain doesn’t arrive until Friday.

Tropics Update

A disturbance positioned southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands continues to move through the Central Atlantic.

While unorganized, it is expected to move into a more favorable environment, and a tropical depression is likely by the middle of the week.

The Caribbean should pay attention to the progress of this system, but it will likely make a sharp turn before the U.S.
