ORLANDO, Fla. – Another cold front will approach Central Florida by Wednesday afternoon, reinforcing mild and dry weather for the rest of the week.

As the front moves in, winds are expected to pick up of the northwest at 15-20 mph with gusts up to 25-30 mph.

The dry air, paired with the breezier weather, could result in a sensitive fire danger. All counties remain in moderate danger through Wednesday afternoon.

Highs through the day will warm to near 70 degrees, but the chillier weather returns by the evening and overnight. Expect lows to dip into the 30s and 40s by Thursday morning, with wind-chill values running a few degrees colder.

High pressure will dominate the region once again through the rest of the week, keeping Central Florida mild and dry through Saturday.

A stronger front is forecast to reach Florida by Sunday afternoon and into the evening, increasing rain coverage to 60-70%. The severe weather threat remains limited, however, strong steering winds in the upper levels could support a few strong wind gusts embedded in storms. We will continue to monitor the threat level as we get closer.

Showers and a few storms could linger into early Monday, with chances at 40-50% through the afternoon and winds remaining elevated through Tuesday.
