ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain seems to be synonymous with the Great American Race. The 2024 running appears no different. While it is too early to nail down the exact timing of rain and storms, the weather pattern will be unsettled for race weekend.
Most of Speed Week looks to be dry with high temperatures hovering around 70 degrees at the speedway.
Rain chances start to go up, however, later in the day Saturday.

As it stands now, the early half of Saturday appears dry with the highest rain chances focusing on North Florida.
Rain chances increase later in the evening.
The highest rain chances look to arrive late Saturday night into early Sunday.
The storm system will move out into the Atlantic later in the day Sunday, gradually lowering rain chances by late Sunday afternoon and into the evening.
The exact timing of the system can change by the weekend, but it appears likely that part of race weekend will feature rain and storms. Stay tuned.
