ORLANDO, Fla. – The rain has been steady under cloudy skies with the cold front to our south.
As it stalls over South Florida, plumes of deep moisture will continue to funnel in which in return will bring a more steady and widespread coverage of rainfall overnight and into Sunday.
Expect moderate rainfall with pockets of heavy rain at times that could add up quickly.
The National Weather Service reported that Leesburg preliminarily set a new daily rainfall record on Saturday with .94 inches so far, beating the old record of .64 set in 1972.

Accumulations overnight are expected to be around 1-1.5 inches.

Areas that get slightly higher amounts of rain could have localized flooding, especially in lower lying areas.
Lows on Saturday evening stay in the 50s with Sunday being much like today with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. The north wind will pick up a bit more and gust around 20 mph throughout the day.
President’s Day will be chilly and in the upper 50s to low 60s before dropping to the 40s by early Tuesday morning.
There will be a few showers early Monday morning followed by gradual clearing by the afternoon.
