ORLANDO, Fla. – The summer-time sampler will be served up again for your Thursday afternoon as conditions stay warm with a few afternoon showers and storms.
RAIN CHANCES:
Coverage will be up to 10-20% from Orlando westward mid-to-late afternoon. However, significant dry air in the mid and upper levels will inhibit any activity from becoming strong or widespread.
The main threats with the rain will be a brief downpour and a few lightning strikes.
TEMPERATURES:
Before the sea breezes push in, highs will have the potential to climb back into the low 90s inland and mid 80s along the coastline.
WEEKEND:
This near-summer like pattern continue through the rest of the week and into the weekend as a large ridge of high pressure remains anchored over the western Atlantic.
Winds will pick up to 10-15 mph from the east both Saturday and Sunday.
Beachgoers and boaters will have great weather to enjoy the sunshine through the weekend.
But beware as a high risk of rip currents remains in place for the next several days.
