ORLANDO, Fla. – A weak front continues to sink across Central Florida Monday morning, producing some light showers before sunrise.
The front will shift south of the area by early afternoon, ushering in a weak northerly wind flow. An east coast sea breeze will still be able to develop and push inland through the day, sparking a handful of showers and storms after 2 p.m., with coverage at 30-40%.
Behind the front, highs are expected to run near normal in the mid- to upper 80s, with “feels like” temperatures just a few degrees warmer.
On Tuesday, enough moisture will still be in place at the surface to aid in the development of a few inland showers and storms into the afternoon, with coverage at 30-40%. Highs could be a few degrees cooler than Monday.
Even drier days return Wednesday and continue through the holiday weekend, with rain chances dropping to 10-20%.
With the lack of rain, highs are expected to soar back into the mid-90s with heat indices returning to the triple digits.
