Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges talks tropics

ORLANDO, Fla. – Meteorologist Jonathan Kegges brings you the weather news in Florida and across the U.S. that you need to know every morning during “Weather Wise” on News 6+.

“Weather Wise” provides in-depth analysis on the weather affecting Central Florida and explores any weather phenomena happening elsewhere, whether it’s across the country or around the world.

You’ll be able to stay up-to-date this hurricane season, whether Jonathan is monitoring potential tropical developments or tracking storms if they get close to home.

Forecasters have predicted an above-average 2024 hurricane season.

A La Niña forecast for the hurricane season tends to lead to a more active hurricane season by promoting thunderstorm development in the Atlantic and reducing detrimental wind shear. Water temperatures are also already running way above normal.

Hurricane season runs from June 1 through the end of November. Keep up with any developments this season on ClickOrlando.com/hurricane.

And watch “Weather Wise” every weekday morning at 7 a.m. on News 6+!
