ORLANDO, Fla. – An area of high pressure is expected to build across Central Florida, limiting rain chances and heating things up. A heat advisory will be in effect for Orange, Osceola and Brevard counties through 6 p.m.
Heat index values could reach 109-110 degrees for those counties.
Afternoon highs are expected to be near-record heat again. In Orlando, daytime highs are expected to reach 99 degrees with a 20% chance for showers.

Isolated showers are expected to pop up after 4 p.m.
Tonight, we expect quiet and dry conditions with overnight low temperatures falling into the upper 70s.
The weather pattern begins to shift this week. Scattered rain is expected on Monday with highs in the upper 90s.
Models are showing an area of tropical moisture emerging from the Gulf of Mexico before moving into Central Florida, increasing rain chances through the entire week.
Wind shear looks to be high in the Gulf next week, limiting the chances for tropical development, but widespread moderate-to-heavy rainfall is looking probable Tuesday through Saturday.
