ORLANDO, Fla. – Getting closer to sunset the showers and isolated lightning storms that are still out there will continue to fizzle out as we lose the heat of the day. A few light showers could linger late, but most will be dry.
Lows tonight will settle in the mid 70s.
Tomorrow as the ridge of high pressure in the western Atlantic begins to move to the east, this will allow a surface boundary to inch closer to the state.
Central Florida will continue to see a tropical moisture set up which will lead to very hot days with heavy rainfall in afternoon storms.
As the east coast sea breeze moves inland and collides with the west coast sea breeze scattered to numerous showers with a few lightning storms will develop. This will be mainly in the afternoon through sunset and favor interior areas mainly west of I-95.
Monday starts off dry, but by the afternoon rain chances go up to 60% through the evening. Areas that get heavy rain could get anywhere between 1-3 inches of rainfall accumulation which could lead to temporary minor flooding.
Highs in the low 90s will feel like 100-107 degrees with the continued high humidity.
Expect sea breeze storms each afternoon this week with elevated rain chances at 60%. Highs in the low 90s will feel about 5-10 degrees hotter than actual temperature readings.
