ORLANDO, Fla. – Upper level ridge over the western Atlantic will help push a trough of dry air from the Bahamas into the Caribbean through the week. Central Florida looks to tap into some of that dry air starting Wednesday, lowering rain chances to 30-40% in the the afternoon hours.
A more dominant east coast sea breeze will initiate a few showers early in the day but is expected to collide with the Gulf breeze west of I-4 into the evening.
Temperatures will remain in the low to mid 90s with highs creeping a bit further by Thursday and Friday. Lower humidity values should keep the heat index slightly lower than previous days between 102-106 degrees.
By Sunday, Central Florida deeper moisture returns to the region as a weak front turns stationary just north of Florida. Models suggest more centralized sea breeze interaction with rain chances increasing to 50-60%.
