ORLANDO, Fl. – Orlando is experiencing a particularly dry July this year.
The ranking of “4th driest July” shows that this July has had very little rainfall compared to historical averages or other recorded Julys. Drier conditions can impact agriculture, water resources, and overall environmental balance in the region.

On Thursday, Saharan dust remains over the peninsula, leading to below-average rain chances: around 30-40% in metro areas, 10-20% along the coast, and 50-60% in western counties.
Afternoon temperatures will stay above average, reaching the mid-90s and feeling like 102-104°F.
On Friday, expect a similar forecast with highs in the mid-90s and a 30-40% chance of rain. Rain chances will rise over the weekend to 50-60%, with afternoon highs remaining in the mid-90s.
TROPICS:
The National Hurricane Center has not highlighted any areas of concern but there is an impressive tropical wave emerging off the coast of Africa. There is still a decent amount of Saharan dust moving across the Atlantic Basic limiting tropical development, we have plenty of time to monitor for possible development.
