ORLANDO, Fla. – Expect dry conditions Saturday morning with scattered clouds. Afternoon highs are forecast to reach the lower 90s and could feel like 103-107 degrees across Central Florida.

A few strong thunderstorms are possible Saturday afternoon and some areas may see rainfall of 2 to 4 inches or more. This significant rainfall could lead to minor flooding, especially in low-lying areas.

Today

If you are planning to head to the beach, conditions look favorable through the first half of Saturday.

However, be prepared to dodge some showers later in the day. There is also a moderate rip current risk along the East Coast.

In the tropics, we are monitoring two areas for potential tropical development.

One in the eastern Atlantic has a low chance, while another over the Yucatan Peninsula has a higher likelihood and may develop into a tropical depression early this week.
