ORLANDO, Fla. – As of Saturday morning, the National Hurricane Center is highlighting Invest 91L, an area of disorganized showers and storms over the Bay of Campeche which has a 40% chance for tropical development in the next 48 hours and 60% chance in the next seven days.
Atmospheric conditions look to be favorable for development in the next few days for a tropical depression to form.

The latest computer models show that regardless of development, heavy rain and gusty winds are possible for coastal Texas and Louisiana early this week through midweek. There are no tropical concerns for Central Florida.
The next named storm will be called Francine.
Sept. 10 marks the peak of hurricane season, which runs through November.
