ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida can expect a few isolated downpours on Sunday night. Temperatures will dip into the upper 70s.
Monday, after lunchtime, some showers and downpours are likely to develop, particularly over Central Florida. The most active period will be around 4 p.m., with the potential to linger into the evening.
The rest of the week, rain chances will be between 40-50% with afternoon highs in the lower 90s.
Pinpointing the tropics:
Potential Tropical Cyclone 8, currently off the coast of the Carolinas, is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm, potentially named Helene, by Monday. It will likely make landfall in coastal South Carolina, bringing heavy rain and strong winds. Fortunately, there are no tropical threats to Central Florida at this time.
