Rain chances drop as drier air moves into Central Florida. Here’s your forecast

Nice break from wet weather for many across Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – Happy Friday! Central Florida will experience a drop in rain chances today as drier air moves into the region. Afternoon highs will reach the lower 90s and upper 80s.

Expect a 30% chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.

Coastal Flood Advisory

The dry conditions will continue through the weekend, with both Saturday and Sunday seeing a 20% chance of rain. Temperatures will remain in the lower 90s. Sunday marks the first day of fall, but expect similar warm and mostly dry conditions.

Pinpointing the tropics:

We are monitoring three areas for potential tropical development. The remnants of Gordon have a 30% chance of developing into a tropical system over the next two to seven days, staying out over the open Atlantic. Another nearby area also has a low chance of development.

Meanwhile, an area in the northwestern Caribbean Sea and southeastern Gulf of Mexico holds a medium chance for tropical development in the coming days.
