ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida should prepare for a few showers and storms today as dry air moves in, bringing a 30% chance of rain.

There’s a possibility of thunderstorms in Thursday morning and throughout the day, with daytime high temperatures expected to be a few degrees above average in the lower 90s across inland areas and upper 80s along the coast.

As the day progresses, the sea breeze may trigger a few showers and storms riding along a stationary front, with downpours possible along the I-4 corridor, especially in the 5-6 p.m. hour.

Clouds are expected to continue over Central Florida into the night, though conditions will remain warm and dry.

In terms of tropical development, there is positive news from the National Hurricane Center as the likelihood for tropical development has decreased over the next seven days over the Gulf of Mexico.
