ORLANDO, Fla. – As Central Florida heads into the upcoming weekend, we can expect breezy conditions with a few isolated showers.
This weather pattern will persist as a weak cold front moves through the area, maintaining overall comfortable conditions. The cold front is unlikely to bring significant temperature drops or any significant rain.
Monday highs are expected to hover around the average, reaching near mid to low 80s and lows in the upper 70s.
Expect breezy conditions with wind gusts reaching 15 to 20 mph, and occasional gusts of up to 30 mph. These winds will cause some issues for beachgoers and boaters, increasing the threat of rip currents and rough seas. A small craft advisory is in effect for boaters due to rough waters, with seas potentially building up to 9 feet over the next two to three days.
Along the strong onshore wind, spotty showers can’t be ruled out with coverage at 20% from the coast towards the I-4 corridor.
Tropical Storm Oscar
In the tropics, Tropical Storm Oscar is currently situated over Cuba producing heavy rain across the eastern half of the island. Forecast show it lifting north into the Central Bahamas and tracking northeast over the week, keeping clear of any tropical troubles.
