ORLANDO, Fla. – Central Florida is experiencing a stretch of pleasant weather, with low humidity and temperatures near average for this time of year -- highs in the mid-80s.
Showers will be hard to find over the next few days, with coverage staying at less than 20% across the Orlando area.
A weak cold front is set to pass through Central Florida late Thursday, bringing minimal impacts and only isolated sprinkles in areas like Brevard County. While clouds may appear briefly, the front will primarily reinforce the existing dry and pleasant conditions, carrying through the rest of the week.
Another front will approach by late weekend, keeping the Florida fall weather in place through Halloween.
Speaking of Halloween, temperatures by trick-or-treating time are expected to remain mild, in the 70s, under mostly clear skies.
Tropical outlook
While fall is in full force locally, we are still keeping a close eye on the potential for tropical developments for the last month of the season.
Although nothing yet has been highlighted by the National Hurricane Center, the Climate Prediction Center is increasing chances for tropical development (40-60%) in the southwest Caribbean Sea.
Some models, like the GFS, have been persistent in developing a low after Halloween, with each model run increasing confidence on the scenario.
But what is lacking in confidence is where it will go and how strong it will get. That part of the forecast remains very uncertain.
Although this is not an imminent threat to Florida, this is an area that needs to be closely monitored as hurricane season continues through the end of November.
As the tropics unfold, expect updates from the News 6 Pinpoint Weather Team. Until then, enjoy the beautiful weather through Halloween.
