ORLANDO, Fla. – Large ridge of high pressure will continue to build across the region, keeping Central Florida’s weather stale with limited changes through the week.
The breeze is expected to kick up through the day on Tuesday and continue for the next several days. Wind gusts could pick up to 30 mph, delivering scattered showers off the Atlantic. For this, coverage remains at 20-30% Tuesday and Wednesday.
Beach and boating activities remain less than ideal with hazardous conditions expected through the majority of the week. These hazards include rough surf, high risk of rip currents and a small craft advisory.
Onshore breeze will keep temperatures near normal in the mid to low 80s during the afternoon, and low 70s overnight over the next few days.
Trick-or-treating forecast is looking pretty good for the little ghosts and goblins as temperatures by sundown will gradually cool into the 70s with a light breeze in place.
Another weak front looks to approach Central Florida by the weekend, reinforcing steady average conditions through our outlook.
Speaking of the weekend, don’t forget to turn your clocks back one hour as you go to bed Saturday night as Daylight Saving ends on Sunday at 2 a.m.
Tropical update:
With the hurricane season still active, we are closely watching an area in the Caribbean for potential tropical development.
While the National Hurricane Center currently gives this system a 0% chance of becoming tropical in the next two days, the chance rises to 40% over the next seven days.
Computer models remain inconsistent on the system’s potential path and strength, with some predicting it to enter the Gulf of Mexico, while others forecast it to move into the Atlantic, influenced by a cold front.
