ORLANDO, Fla. – Afternoon highs hit 79° in Orlando before a strong cold front arrived on Wednesday.
As the day progressed, that cold front brought a line of storms through Central Florida, leading to pockets of heavy rain across much of the region.
While some areas picked up measurable rainfall, most spots recorded rainfall of about an inch or less.
As the front continues to move southward, colder air is expected to usher in quickly Wednesday night into Thursday.
It’s looking like we might see lows in the 30s and 40s as the day unfolds.
While Central Florida doesn’t have any advisories, areas to our north, such as Alachua County, are currently under a frost advisory.
Afternoon highs on Thursday will struggle to get into the 60s. With the brisk winds out of the north-northeast between 10-20 mph, the temperatures will feel much cooler.
The weekend forecast looks pleasant with daytime highs nearing 80 degrees with no rain in sight.
