ORLANDO, Fla. – It’s really starting to feel like a Florida winter lately with another morning with wake-up temperatures dipping into the 30s to low 40s.
Due to a lighter breeze, there will be a chance of frost through Wednesday morning. A frost advisory remains in place until 9 a.m. for parts of Volusia, Flagler, Lake and Sumter county. And a freeze warning for Marion county, before conditions warm up slightly in the upper 50s to low 60s.
Early Thursday morning, another round of cold and dry air is expected with wake-up temperatures dropping back into the upper 30s to low 40s. Breeze could pick up a bit further overnight, making it feel even colder with wind chills getting down to near 30°F or lower for most of the area, except along the barrier islands and parts of the coast.
A cold front will move through on Saturday, bringing gusty winds (up to 20-25 mph) and a 30-40% chance of rain, mostly in the morning and early afternoon. The front will move quickly, so the rain shouldn’t amount to much, with most areas seeing less than a quarter of an inch.
Latest forecast shows storm chances remaining minimal.
Before the front arrives, highs will remain mild in the upper 60s followed by cooler temperatures in its wake.
Expect chilly mornings again from Sunday through early next week, with lows in the mid 30s to upper 40s and highs in the 50s and 60s. While temperatures will vary, they’ll mostly stay below normal.
