ORLANDO, Fla. – Some changes are on the way as a cold front is expected to sweep through.
We can expect a few light showers Thursday afternoon alongside increasing wind speeds.
This cold front, currently residing to the north and west, is on its way through our region. While the morning starts with sunshine, the clouds will gradually increase, with temperatures reaching up to 85 in Orlando. It’s a classic Florida spring shift!

That cold front is expected to increase wind gusts reaching 30 mph in places Thursday.
Due to the dry and windy conditions, a red flag warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. across most parts of Central Florida, excluding Sumter, Marion and Polk counties.

This means it’s wise to avoid activities with open flames and ensure cigarettes are properly discarded to prevent any fire hazards.

Looking at the forecast, a chilly start is expected Friday morning, with temperatures dipping into the 40s.

And heads up, the weekend seems to offer calmer weather, providing a perfect chance to enjoy some outdoor activities.
Remember to keep vehicles off dry grass, another precaution with those gusty winds.
