TIMING: Rain and thunderstorms set to move in after mainly quiet day in Central Florida

Measurable rain is expected for many across Central Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. – Temperatures will remain on the warm side on Saturday.

Many areas will get into the middle 80s with breezy conditions. The humidity is expected to be on the rise through the weekend.

Changes are on the horizon on Sunday. Central Florida will see rain and thunderstorms rolling through during much of the day due to the sea breezes.

Sunday's rain chances

Much needed rain is expected to help with the relatively dry conditions. Heavier rainfalls could lead to totals up to three inches in Orlando, with other areas such as Ocala and Leesburg receiving one to two inches.

The sea breezes could collide after noon Sunday, especially along the I-95 corridor, triggering thunderstorms. As the day progresses, heavy rain and storms are expected to shift along the I-4 corridor during the evening hours.
