Hurricane Milton finally made landfall in Florida late Wednesday night, bringing plenty of storm damage and flooding to Central Florida.
In the aftermath of the storm, News 6 is keeping an eye on various road closures throughout the region brought on by Milton.

The following are road closures or hazards as of 5 p.m. on Thursday:
FLAGLER COUNTY
- PALM COAST
- Old Kings Road was closed at Utility Drive and south of Oak Trails Boulevard due to a significant road failure at the ditch just south of Oak Trails Boulevard. The condition of the road has been deemed unsafe for travel.
- Southbound traffic on Old Kings Road will be turned around at Utility Drive.
- Northbound traffic on Old Kings Road will be stopped and turned around before reaching Oak Trails Boulevard.
- Northbound traffic on Old Kings Road will be able to access Gold Choice Palm Coast Assisted Living, Hidden Lakes, and Toscana.
- Tree in right lane along Interstate 95 Northbound
- BUNNELL
- State Road 100 closed between Woodland Street and Deen Road due to heavy flooding
- ORMOND BEACH
- Tree partially blocking exit ramp along Interstate 95 Northbound near mile marker 278
LAKE COUNTY
- All lanes of Florida’s Turnpike southbound are closed between mile marker 280 and US 27 North/Tavares/Clermont (Exit 289)

- The southbound Turnpike entrance from US 27/SR 19 is also closed
- SR 46 WB coming into the city of Mount Dora, Wolf Branch and Britt Road has 1 lane washed out with possible sinkhole.
- Wolf Branch and Round Lake have washouts along entire stretch with possible sinkholes around Britt Road and Future Farms Road

- Around 3 inches of standing water in eastbound lanes of 4100 SE 100th Street. Drivers urged to use caution
- OCALA
- Hole opened up in outside lane of South Pine Avenue near Southwest Broadway Street. Drivers urged to use caution
ORANGE COUNTY
- OCOEE
- State Road 429 Southbound has standing water in the center lane between mile markers 20 and 22. Drivers urged to use caution
- ORLANDO
- Around 1 foot of water at exit ramp from Interstate 4 Eastbound to Central Florida Parkway
OSCEOLA COUNTY
- KISSIMMEE
- Entrance ramp to Interstate 4 Eastbound from Osceola Parkway shut down due to flooding
POLK COUNTY

- US-92 west of Old Dixie Highway flooded
- Kville Avenue and Sun Acres Boulevard flooded
- BARTOW
- 3800 block of Highway 98 South flooded
- Bartow Road and Highway 98 South flooded

- Several tree branches have fallen along Legends Boulevard near Champions Gate Boulevard. Drivers urged to use caution

- Roadways in the Historic District from 1st St to 25th St are closed, described by the city as dangerous and unsafe to drive on due to debris, powerlines, flooding and trees down.
- OVIEDO
- Stephens Avenue between East Franklin Street and County Road 419 closed due to water on the road, police announced.
- Central Avenue at Clark Street closed for a power line down across the road
- Winter Springs Blvd closed at 417 due to a tree down
SUMTER COUNTY
- WEBSTER
- County Road 740 closed
- WILDWOOD
- Large sinkhole in right lane of Florida’s Turnpike Southbound near mile marker 299
VOLUSIA COUNTY
Volusia County’s Intracoastal bridges over the Halifax River were closed at 9:30 p.m. due to an anticipated increase in sustained winds with hurricane-force gusts.
As a result, the sheriff’s office is restricting eastbound traffic to the barrier islands until conditions improve and the bridges are deemed safe.
