ORLANDO, Fla. – More rain and storms are in the Central Florida forecast.

"Because of the added humidity and moisture in the atmosphere and the interaction with the east and west coast sea breezes, storms will fire up in the afternoon Friday," News 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said. "The timeline for strong to severe storms will be after the lunch hour."
The main threat will be lightning, heavy rain and some strong wind gusts.
The coverage of rain for Friday afternoon will 50 percent.
Expect a high temperature of 91 degrees in Orlando.
Rain chances remain at 50 percent for Saturday afternoon as the sea breezes again come together.
"We are back in our typical summer pattern with sea breeze storms being the main concern on through the end of the weekend," Bridges said.
Rain chances will be 40 percent on Sunday and Monday.
Pinpointing the tropics
There are several areas of development in the Atlantic as well as the Gulf of Mexico.
"An area of low pressure in the western Gulf of Mexico has a 10 percent chance of development and will eventually move into Texas," Bridges said.
Meanwhile, Julia has redeveloped into a tropical storm off the coast of the Carolinas, and Tropical Storm Ian remains in the open Atlantic.
"Now we watch newly developed Tropical Storm Karl still in the open Atlantic," Bridges said. "It's moving closer to the lesser Antilles by the middle of next week. We will watch Karl for further development and to see where this storm will head next, but it is still very early to tell."
Another wave has formed off the coast of Africa and has a chance of 50 percent chance of development over the next five days.
