DETROIT – As summer comes to an end, the real movie season is ready to kick into gear.

Oscar season, as some call it, is just around the corner. But it's not just the artsy films that are coming to end 2017.

Here are 14 movies to look forward to this fall/winter:

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI - Dec. 15

Rey took her first steps into a larger world in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and will continue her epic journey with Finn, Poe, and Luke Skywalker in the next chapter of the continuing Star Wars saga, Star Wars: Episode VIII. 

JUSTICE LEAGUE - Nov. 17

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions. 

WONDER - Nov. 17

August (Auggie) Pullman was born with a facial deformity that prevented him from going to a mainstream school—until now. STEPHEN KING'S IT - Sept. 8

A group of kids called the "Losers Club" encounter a creature called It, which preys on children and whose favorite form is that of a sadistic clown called Pennywise. When the creature resurfaces, the kids are called upon to regroup again, this time as adults, even though they have no memory of the first battle. 

JUMANJI: WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE - Dec. 20

In the brand new adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji. When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.

JIGSAW - Oct. 27

Bodies are turning up around the city, each having met a uniquely gruesome demise. As the investigation proceeds, evidence points to one man: John Kramer. But how can this be? The man known as Jigsaw has been dead for over a decade.

BATTLE OF THE SEXES - Sept. 22

The true story of the 1973 tennis match between World number one Billie Jean King and ex-champ and serial hustler Bobby Riggs.

BLADE RUNNER 2049 - Oct. 6

A young blade runner's discovery of a long buried secret leads him on a quest to track down former blade runner, Rick Deckard, who's been missing for thirty years.

AMERICAN MADE - Sept. 29

A pilot lands work for the CIA and as a drug runner in the south during the 1980s. Starring Tom Cruise. 

DOWNSIZING - Dec. 22

A social satire in which a guy realizes he would have a better life if he were to shrink himself. Starring Matt Damon, Kristen Wiig, Christoph Waltz, Laura Dern, Neil Patrick Harris and Jason Sudeikis.
