Salad Station to open 2 Central Florida locations, plans to add more

Louisiana-based brand is looking for franchisees to help expand its footprint in Florida

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – Salad Station is set to enter the Orlando market. It has signed a franchise agreement to open a Winter Park and Altamonte Springs location, according to a press release.

No details were provided about when the two locations will open, but according to its website, after a franchise deal is signed, buildout is roughly three months.

As the name suggests, this eatery sells salad. It is a pay-by-the-pound salad bar.

You can choose the base for the salad and its toppings such as proteins, legumes, fruit, veggies, cheeses and nuts. It also serves side dishes such as hummus, baked potato and soup.

Salad Station was founded in 2012 by Louisiana farmer Scott Henderson in 2012. He started the brand with his mom, Cindy Henderson.

“My mom and I opened the first Salad Station simply because we identified that our community was lacking a quick and easy way to eat a fresh and customizable meal, large or small,” Scott Henderson said via press release.

There is currently one Florida location in Tampa. It is currently looking for franchisees to help expand its footprint in the Orlando and Daytona Beach area.

Meanwhile, there are 30 locations across the country in Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Arkansas, according to the release. It has plans to add 70 new restaurants by 2027.

The initial investment cost to open a Salad Station ranges from $200,000 to roughly $550,000, according to the brand’s website. Each restaurant is around 2,000 square feet and hires 15-20 employees. There is also a net-worth requirement of $600,000.
