Yelp has released its list of the top 100 places to eat in the U.S. this year, with several placements being found here in Florida.

In fact, Yelp explains that alongside Arizona and Texas, Florida has helped account for around 30% of the rankings for 2024.

The top spot belongs to Tumerico in Tucson, a vegetarian Mexican restaurant that also snagged the top spot on Yelp’s top 100 southwest restaurants list from 2023.

As for the Sunshine State, the top pick in Florida was Fratellino in Coral Gables at No. 5. The restaurant offers plenty of Italian dishes and homemade pasta, such as its Burratina and Fettuccine Alla Papalina.

In Central Florida, the highest-ranking restaurant was EDOBOY in Orlando. This sushi joint offers only 48 reservations for dinner each night that it’s open, though guests will get the opportunity to try up to 12 pieces of sushi within a mere hour.

Sean Nguyen, EDOBOY’s owner and a Michelin-recognized chef, modeled the restaurant after another eatery in Japan that he and his wife have visited. He’s previously spoken with News 6 about his background on the Florida Foodie podcast.

The other Central Florida location on the list was The Tiny Turtle, a Caribbean-Puerto Rican restaurant in Cocoa Beach.

According to Yelp, that eatery offers plenty of breakfast items, such as Bacon Mac Daddy Cakes — two pancakes stuffed with bacon, mac-and-cheese, and topped with whipped cream, maple syrup and even more bacon.
