ORLANDO, Fla. – Five Orlando chefs are ready to battle it out for the ‘Broth Belt’ trophy at the Ramen Rumble on Jan. 27.
This is the seventh round for this annual competition hosted at the Disney Spring’s restaurant Morimoto Asia. Sue and Jason Chin of the Orland-based Good Salt Restaurant Group are the founders of this event.

“(Each chef) will present a unique style of ramen, each made with creative toppings and textures for guests to sample and vote on. Participating Chefs will compete for the championship title of ‘Ramen Royalty of Central Florida’,” a spokesperson for the event said in a prepared statement.
Those interested in being a judge for this event can purchase a $95 ticket to attend either a 5:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. seating, if you have children that are 9 years old and younger, tickets are $55, per the event’s website.
A portion of the funds from Ramen Rumble are donated to the non-profit Give Kids the World, last year roughly $13,000 was raised, a spokesperson for the event said.

- Tatsuki Takayama, WA Ramen
- Eliot Hillis, Red Panda Noodle
- David Tsan, Norigami
- Jamie Riccardo Martinez, Tutto Italia
