“We’re thrilled to be the first to bring a franchise opportunity to the cat café concept,” Founder and CEO of Orlando Cat Café, Sandra Cagan, said in a prepared statement. “This is more than just a business; it’s a movement to create spaces where people can unwind, connect, and make a difference in the lives of rescue cats.”

The cafe is located at 532 Cagan Park Ave.

It offers different types of experiences such as paying a fee to hang out in the cat play area with some coffee and baked goods. Or you can sip some coffee in a separate area and enjoy the view of the cats, according to the cafe’s website.

The play area has around 10-12 cats at a time that are available to be adopted. Over 2,800 cats have been adopted since its opening, according to a press release.

Meanwhile, Orlando Cat Café does not require any previous experience to become a franchisee for the brand. However, it does not offer financing as the initial investment to open a location will range from $415,000 to $645,000, according to the company’s website.

Currently, the brand plans to open across the southeastern part of the U.S. in states such as Texas, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and the Carolinas, per its website.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for people to open their own cat café and bring this unique experience to their communities,” Cagan said in a prepared statement.  “This is about spreading joy, fostering connections, and finding forever homes for cats.”
