Driver rams patrol car, flees police

One person in custody, another at large

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach police are searching for one of two men involved in ramming a patrol car and fleeing from police.

Police said they received a call late Sunday night for a suspicious vehicle near the intersection of West International Speedway Boulevard and Adams Street.

When officers approached the car, it sped off and rammed a Daytona Beach police patrol car, according to authorities.

Police said there was a short pursuit and Stop Sticks were used to halt the getaway vehicle. 

One person was taken into custody, but another remains at large, according to authorities.
