ORLANDO, Fla. – A SeaWorld employee stands accused of stealing from theme park guests, targeting strollers and going through them when they were left alone.
Jimmie Lou Perry, 37, was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Orange County Jail.
SeaWorld investigators say this week, as some people were watching the Shamu Show, they spotted Perry going through strollers and bags left behind. They say one mom was feeding stingrays when she was robbed. Nearly 15 credit cards, a wallet, cash, and pills were taken.
"I think it's disgusting," said SeaWorld visitor, Debbie Jones. "I mean, you trust their employees."
Whether hopping on a ride or watching one of the shows, moms like Jones say it is common to leave the strollers behind and with it, "You've got his diaper bag with diapers and wipes and all that." But, also pricier items, "the camcorder, the camera, credit cards, cash," she continued.
It's the reason why Jones travels with her backup stroller, "because strollers do go missing at parks at stroller parking," said Jones.
"I suspect your relationship with SeaWorld was terminated too," said the judge during Perry's first court appearance.
SeaWorld wouldn't comment on Perry's job status, only saying they are working with investigators.
Her bond was set at $5,000. Investigators say she could see more charges after it was reported she used one of the credits cards at a local pizza place.
A judge reduced her bond by $2,000 on Friday morning at a second appearance on a grand theft charge because she has no prior criminal history.
