Deputies investigating apparent murder-suicide in Rockledge

ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – Deputies are investigating the deaths of two people in what appeared to be a murder-suicide, the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.

Officials responded to a 911 call made by a man, saying he had shot his wife at the couple’s home on McIver Lane, according to a news release.

Deputies went to the house, briefly saw the man inside near the front door, then heard a single shot fired from within the Rockledge home, officials said.

When investigators forced their way inside the house, they found the man and the woman dead.

Their identities are being withheld by the Sheriff’s Office at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
